Not many people tried to break in and steal from Wayne Enterprises. Even less succeeded. In fact, she couldn't find record of anyone trying and not being stopped by some pointy eared Bat. It seemed like that building was just crawling with Bats, which was suspicious but not interesting enough for her to try to think more into it.
Honestly, though, the building just wreaked of a challenge. It practically begged her to break in and rob them. Did she know what was inside? Not particularly. She wasn't even sure what the difference was between Wayne Enterprises and the Wayne Tower. Seriously how many buildings did Bruce Wayne have to have?
And could she convince him to buy her a building for her birthday? Unlikely, though she thought she deserved her own building.
Subtlety was an art lost on her. She couldn't remember the last time she'd cared about being subtle, if ever. There was a difference between being subtle and being looked over. For the longest time, she'd felt looked over. Now she stood out like a sore thumb, and she loved it.
She had her mallet with her, slung across her should as she approached the front of the building. It was about evening - the sun starting to set. She was pretty sure someone had already called the cops. But the cops weren't much of a threat to her, and she welcomed the challenge.
She walked right in through the front door, whistling. Instantly the security guards were on her, pointing their guns.
"Drop your weapon!!" one yelled at her, "Drop it!!"
She leveled her gaze on him. The instant her grin turned into a frown, she saw him flinch.
"That's no way to speak to a lady," she pointed out, wagging a finger at him before reaching back. She curled her fingers around the staff of the mallet.
She lashed out before any of them had a chance to react. She swung the mallet, smashing it against one guard before moving on to the next. Once they were sprawled out on the ground around her, groaning in pain, she grinned and studied her work.
"Hope you learned some manners today."
